** Vacation Galore **
Posted on November 19th, 2009 at 3:26 pm by tara110gs and
If I could go any where in the world….. well … I think that it would be Hawaii!! I think that I would want to go to Hawaii because I love the beach and I like warm weather, and that location has two of my favourite things. So far in my life, I have been on a plane twice, and both of those times, I was on my way to Florida. I think my favourite vacation spot that I have been to would be Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida. I think I like that place so much more than all of the other places I have gone is because there is so much to do there, there are a lot of neat roller coasters and shows there, there are two huge water parks, and so much more activities that will keep you busy throughout the whole time that you are there! Some other places that I have gone are Kalahari in Sandusky, Ohio, Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, and many other neat places! If there was one place in the whole wide world that I could vacation in, as I said before, it would be Hawaii.
Below this paragraph, I made a report on my fake vacation to Hawaii. So, I hope you enjoy this report!!
Hawaii, Here We Come!!
On March 14, 2008, my family and I left for my dream vacation, HAWAII! We packed our bags and headed for the airport. It was March Break, and we couldn’t wait until we got off that airplane and knew we were in the beautiful lands of Hawaii. While we were waiting for the plane to take flight, my mom kept on asking me why we were going! She kept on repeating, I have too much work to be done, so I can’t go on vacation. All I said back was, that is why we are going, to relax and have fun family time together!
When we got to Hawaii, we went to our hotel, we put on our swim wear, and headed for the beach. That week went by so quickly, I realized that we should do something this every year because we need some time to relax and time to have some good family time! Some of the things that we did were go to the beach, go swimming, play golf, and many other fun things. The most exciting part throughout the whole week would probably be when we all went scuba diving. We seen so many different organisms under there, some I’ve never even seen or heard about before. It was so much fun. At one point, I got to pet a dolphin, it was amazing!
Throughout that whole week, my mom never said one thing about not going on vacation! So, I guess we all enjoyed ourselves during our vacation in Hawaii!

My Ecological Footprint !!
Posted on November 7th, 2009 at 9:41 pm by tara110gs and
Last week in science class, my class was learning about our individual footprint. On this sheet of paper we answered questions based on food, water, energy use, transportation, shelter, and lifestyle. Some questions that we would get are how much money we spent, what are heat is set at in the winter, and how many cars that we have in our family. So, for each question we would either gain or lose points. If we were doing a good dead for the environment (such as having only a two minute shower) we would lose points or gaining a little amount of points, but if we were not being such a good citizen to the (such as having more than two cars) then you would gain a high amount of points. Lets just say that having a lot of points, is not so good.
After we finished answering the questions, we added all of the points together. Mt total score was 2080 (not so good : ( ) When you get your grand total (2080), you have to divide it by 100. You have to divide it by 100 because this shows you how many hectares of land needed to sustain my lifestyle. I figure out that my personal ecological footprint is 20.8 hectares. You should try to figure your ecological footprint, it is very interesting!!
** My Favourite TV Shows!! **
Posted on October 30th, 2009 at 1:35 pm by tara110gs and
I have a lot of favourite TV shows, but today I am going to tell you about three of them. So here they all are:
> One of my favourite TV shows is The Amazing Race. In the amazing race, there are 12 pairs of contestants and they race around the world to find clues. Each week one team is elliminated and it narrows down to see who win one million dollars at the end of the race. Here is a website that I found on the Amazing race – The Amazing Race!
> Another one of my favourite show is the Bachelor/ the Bachelorette. In this show there is one bacholor or bacholorette and 25 men or women that try to win the Bachelor/ Bachelorettes heart. It is a very entertaining show and once you watch it once you can’t stop watch it! Here is a website that I found on The Bachelor – ABC.com
>Finally, my last favourite TV show is called Jon and Kate Plus 8. This show is based on a husband and wife that had a set of twins and a set of sextuplets. The eight kids names are Maddie, Lea, Alexis, Hannah, Cara, Joel, Aaden, and Collin. This show is a very funny and entertaining! It is on every Monday night on the TV channal, TLC. I hope you enjoy the show.
I hope that you enjoy watching all of my favourite shows!!! : )

Last Teusday, (October 13th, 2009) me and a few of my classmates went to the board office to do a presentation on blogging and podcasting. We went there because we wanted to show the board of directors our progress that we have made in blogging and podcasting. The classmates that went with me are Tim, Josh, Emily, and my teacher, Mr. Pepper. Me and my friend Emily did the blogging part of the presentation and then Tim and Josh did the podcasting part. It was a lot of fun and after our presentation we went out for a free supper. It was so much fun!!

Bing is a new website and it holds a lot of information. It is like a second google to me. On bing, you can find websites, images, news, maps, and more. At school, if we need to find anything I always use bing. It is great. Since I like it so much, I am going to attatch a link to it and you can go to it.

*H1N1 Flu Virus*
Posted on October 2nd, 2009 at 2:11 pm by tara110gs and
The H1N1 flu is talked about all the time, on the news, newspapers, friends, and families. So, what is the H1N1 flu virus? It is the most common cause of flu in humans. They can cause an epidemic in humans and can cause a small fraction of all and a large fraction of the seasonal flu. In our school we are taking action as well. We are washing our hands so much more than usual and in all of the classrooms we have hand sanitizer dipensers. Our janiter has to wash down all surfaces after only one day of school. So, that is our way of trying to keep the seasonal flu out of or school.
Back to School!
Posted on October 2nd, 2009 at 1:51 pm by tara110gs and
Hello again. Since the end of June untill now, I have been on my summer vacation. I have done a lot of fun things over the summer. Some of the things that I did was go to a leadership camp, help my da, go to a cottage for a week and many more!
We started school this year a little bit earlier then last year but I was ok with that because I was excited to come back to school. I was so excited because I am in grade 8 now and it is going to be a lot of fun .. well I hope!! Some school sports have started already and they are cross- country and volleyball, which I really like.
My best friends name is Morgan. We sit beside each other in class and we have a lot of fun together! We are very alike but also have some differences. Morgan is very smart and is very good at sports, such as running.
Well I hope you like my post and blog. Thankyou!
Almost Done!!
Posted on June 11th, 2009 at 2:17 pm by tara110gs and

In a school year, there are 190 days. We only have 9 days left from today! I am very excited in some ways because we get to stay at home and do whatever we want and also we don’t have to worry about handing in assignments and projects. But, I am also very sad that the school year is almost over because I will miss all of my friends, especially the ones that are going into highschool next year. Some of my favourite memories of this year was the class feild trip. I liked it so much because we did a lot of cool stuff, like going to a play, going to a fancy resturant, and going on a tour in a big city and a lake nearby. There was a lot of other fun memories this year , but I think that it would take to long to explain them all to you. Some upcoming events in the last couple of weeks are the last day, the awards assembaly, and the grade eights graduation. I know that the last couple of weeks will be a lot of fun, but I also know that it will be very sad as well because we will have to say goodbye to all of our friends.
